Frequently Asked Questions

How do I know if my trees are safe?

Start by looking for signs like dying limbs, splitting back, cavities, decay, weak branch unions, broken hanging limbs, and damage to roots. Many hazard issues are not easily detectable. Call for one of our ISA (International Society of Arborculture) certified arborists to look at your trees.

When is the best time of the year to prune my trees?

This is a common question. The majority of trees can be pruned at any time of the year. Ideally, fruit trees should be pruned when dormant in winter. Some trees have potential disease issues that warrant timing considerations.

Do I need a permit to remove trees?

Most street trees. Many commercial property trees and some residential trees over a certain diameter need to be permitted. We can do the permitting for you or you can do it yourself.
